Jane Teresa Naughton

On Holy Thursday, March 29, 2018, of Silver Spring, MD, loving sister of John Naughton (Carolyn) and the late Margaret Meissner (Warren), Catherine Casey (William), and Christopher Naughton Jr (Mary), daughter of the late Kathryn Brennan and Christopher Naughton Sr. Also survived by 90 nieces and nephews. 

Jane was born in Philadelphia, PA and was a member of St. Agatha's Church where she received the Sacraments, taking the name Bernadette for Confirmation. She worked at a physical therapy clinic and in security at the Barnes Foundation Art Museum. She traveled with her father Chris to Ireland in 1978 to visit his birthplace in County Roscommon. In 1987 she retired from Barnes and moved to Merritt Island FL to live with her sister Margaret and her family. In 2014 she moved to Silver Spring to live with her brother John and sister-in-law Carolyn. In 2016 she moved to Byron House Assisted Living. Jane had many friends among the residents and staff at Byron House.

Jane was a devout Catholic. She loved music, art and old movies. She loved the beach and the ocean. She also loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the Shrine of St. Jude, 12701 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville MD, on Friday, April 6, from 10:30 to 11 am, where Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am. Interment private.
