James Joseph Lenahan

James Joseph Lenahan of Silver Spring, Maryland on Wednesday, November 28, 2018.  Beloved son of James & Diana Lenahan; father of Katherine & Sarah Lenahan; brother of Lisa Ridenour; uncle of Richard, Michael (Sarah), Erin & Megan Ridenour; great-uncle of Autumn Ridenour.

Jimmy attended St. Jude’s Catholic School from 1st to 8th grade. He then went to Our Lady of Good Counsel for his high school year graduating with honors. He was then accepted into Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science were he obtained a BS degree in Toxicology making Dean’s List and an internship at Smith-Kline Beechem. He worked in the science field for 8 years before leaving to go into the Restaurant Business. For the next 20 years, he worked his way up to Manager of two up-scale restaurants in Washington DC.

For the next two years he worked as an aide in two local nursing homes in the area. These were his favorite jobs as he was loved by the elderly residents and he loved them.  Jimmy was such a “people person”.

Visitation will begin at 10am on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Shrine of St. Jude Catholic Church, 12701 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, Maryland 20853, where Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11am.  Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a scholarship fund for Jimmy’s twin daughters, Katherine and Sarah. Their Grandparents Jim and Diana Lenahan have their account at Wells Fargo.
