After a number of years of multiple health problems, on December 26, 2019, Harry M. Shrigley peacefully went to be with the Lord. He is survived by his loving wife, Nan P. Shrigley.
Born in Panama City, Florida, he spent subsequent years in Greensboro, South Carolina with his parents, Mary Lee and Enoch Marlow Shrigley. He joined the United States Air Force, where he served for 21 years as an aviation mechanic. Upon discharge, he moved to Dothan, Alabama to be close to his then widowed mother.
He played the clarinet in the Dothan Symphony Orchestra and was active in the Southside Baptist Church and later Bay Springs Baptist Church.
He married Nan in April of 2002 at Shady Grove Presbyterian Church in Derwood, Maryland, and they moved Dothan, Alabama, where they resided until returning to Maryland in 2007.
Visitation will be at Shady Grove Presbyterian Church, 16911 Redland Road, Derwood, Maryland 20855, on Saturday, January 11, 2019 at 10am, with the funeral at 11am. There will be a luncheon immediately following the service at the Rabbit Hole, 17511 Redland Rd., Derwood, Maryland 20855. Interment Will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
