Francis and Family, So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. We came to extend our condolences to you at Holy Redeemer. church. So many of Bob's friends and family filled the church thereby keeping us from extending our sympathy to you in person. Please know that you are all in our prayers from afar . I worked ie (Betty) with Bob for awhile at Good Counsel H.S. in the old school snack bar in his retirement. He made my day with his fun self. RIP Bob

My deepest condolences to the Silk family. As a student and football player at Archbishop Carroll HS my brothers and I have fond memories of Coach Silk. He was a great coach and leader and one who made Carroll one of the premier HS football programs in the area. He will be truly missed.

Mr. Silk was a shining example of a man that lived his life based on his Catholic faith, his family, and his community. Many young men and women that grew up in Kensington and were part of Holy Redeemer Parish, in the 1960s and 1970s, were fortunate to have a mentor and role model in Mr. Silk during our formative years. He inspired many of us to become active in Holy Redeemer and in the Kensington community. I am sure Mr. Silk's children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will continue his wonderful legacy. God Bless the Silk family!
