Nancy Lee Simpson Wagner – beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend died peacefully in her sleep at home February 27th, 2018. She is survived by her sisters Jeannette Hood and Patricia Caserta, her children David (Karen), Chuck (Trina), Chris and John (Jutta). The loves of her life were her grandchildren – Christina, Katie, Chaz, Julia, J.T., John Michael and Michael David.
Nancy Lee (Simpson) was born July 16, 1933 in New Rochelle N.Y. She met her husband Charles L Wagner at Ohio State University in Columbus Ohio. They were married on June 1st, 1957, lived briefly in Ohio, West Virginia and Texas before moving in 1968 to Maryland where she lived until her passing.
Nancy was a Radiology Technician for many years before having children. For 28 years Nancy was a highly valued Administrative Assistant to the Director and teachers at St. Patrick’s School of Religion. She facilitated registrations, setting up classes, and the preparation of children to receive Sacraments. In that position, Nancy was dedicated, knowledgeable, and well loved.
Nancy Lee loved traveling, watching sports with her boys, gardening, shopping, ceramics, music, theatre, the church andspending time with her family. She will forever be remembered for her singing and birthday greeting calls, humming, her beautiful smile and the way she made you feel welcomed and loved unconditionally.
Visitation will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church – 4101 Norbeck Rd, Rockville, MD on Monday February 5th from 11:00 to 11:30 Followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11:30am with interment immediately following at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
