I sang bass with John in the Potomac Presbyterian Church for many years. I enjoyed every moment of it. Not only because I love to sing, but to sing next to John was a real treat. I sometimes wander off of the correct notes, but by listening to John, I would always be back in tune. He was also a wonderful person to talk to. What interesting things he did in his life. I miss him very much, and he will always have a special place in my heart. God Bless you John, and of course you, Jean

I just received word of both Jean & John's passing. What a loss to our Hummon family. I didn't meet John & Jean until after his retirement, but both Heinz & I spoke aftgerwards about how impressed we were of them both. Their living overseas for his career resignated with us. His musical ability, too. Jean was the only family member I knew who knew where Ibiza was & had been there also, & was just as excited about talking about it as we were. They will be sadly missed. My deepest regards to the rest of the family. Wish we could be with you at this time of loss at another Hummon family reunion. But our thoughts & prayers are with you now & always. God please send blessing to you & the entire world. No exceptions.

I love and miss you, Uncle John. It's difficult to think of the world without you and Aunt Jean in it. You were both shining lights for me and will continue to be. God bless you, your life, your struggles, your victories, your great spirit, your family, your music, and everybody in the whole wide world. No exceptions.
