Irene Mary (Geissenhainer) Carlin passed away peacefully at home in Silver Spring on July 16, 2017. Beloved wife of E. Austin Carlin and the late Joseph Geissenhainer. Loving mother of Joanne Granelli, Sue Mathis and William Geissenhainer (Mary Ellen). Irene was the cherished grandmother to eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday July 19, 2017 at 11AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, 15661 Norbeck Blvd, Silver Spring MD 20906. Interment following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to The American Heart Association.
