Gloria Maria Rohrer, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home on November 26, 2017 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Gloria was born on September 12, 1935 in Valparaiso, Chile, to Admiral Roberto Campos and his wife Fresia Campos, the youngest of four children. She resided in Vina del Mar, and later the capital city of Santiago, where she met her future husband, Karl, then serving as an attache at the U.S. Embassy. The couple married in Chile, and moved to the Washington DC area. There, Gloria gave birth to their son, Karl Jr. She was a homemaker and, later, an original employee at the Bloomingdale store in White Flint, before embarking on a rewarding career as an analyst for the Central Intelligence Agency spanning over two decades. She loved to pamper her numerous pets, and tend to the beautiful gardens she lovingly maintained. A beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, she will be remembered for her kind and selfless spirit, unwavering positive attitude, warm smile and devotion to her family, friends and Catholic faith.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years; her only son; two brothers, Roberto Campos and Jorge Campos; as well as her daughter-in-law, Regina Rohrer and three young grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Rockville, Maryland on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 1pm. Interment will take place the following week at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, Maryland.
